A bit of background

I work in cybersecurity, based in Stockholm. Outside of that, I travel whenever the chance comes up, read constantly, cook when the mood strikes, and occasionally trade the laptop for headphones and a mixer.

Sixteen days in Peru

From the contrasts of Lima to the depths of the Amazon and the heights of the Andes, sixteen days in Peru ended up feeling less like one trip than several — each showing a completely different side of the country.

The Day Job

Twenty-five years in cybersecurity, but the work has always been as much about business as it has been about technology. Starting as an IT auditor at IBM, then through consulting, practice leadership, and global delivery management at HP/HPE and DXC — and now on the vendor side at Vectra AI, working with the MSSPs who have to turn AI-driven security technology into services that actually deliver outcomes for clients. The thread throughout has been translating between the technical and the commercial: understanding what the technology does, and being able to explain to a board or a CFO why it matters and what it's worth. That's a different skill from being the best technical person in the room — and in my experience, the rarer one.
